Dear Mrs. Zrihen,
I just finished reading the book Kim Kardashian 's biography written by Celebrity Media, Before buying this book i looked at the Rates it has gotten, 3 stars out of 5 by two people rating. I also read the reviews the book has. While reading, i wrote down all the quotes i ran into and important notes, such as that shes divorced. but today, she is happily married. After reading, i searched the highlights of the book to make sure i got everything i needed to know.
The topic of this book is Clearly Kim Kardashian and the main idea would be Kim Kardashian's life story. The main idea is stated since it is written everywhere. or talked about. Some supporting details to the main idea would be, Her family, and Her goals in life. These supporting details are both factual details. They are factual details since they are facts and stated in the book. In biography books there usually are not essential messages. This book has no essential message since it is about her past and she didn't do anything major that made a change. From my background knowledge about Kim i could compare her contrast her to her sisters, since i watch there show but in this book Kim is the only character mentioned unless it added Khloe and Kourtney to one of Kim's actions but they have nothing told about there personality's in the book. There were many text features in this book! Titles, Sub titles, Italicized words, Bold words and pictures.
Some new words i learned in this book were, Defamatory, which means injuries. Alleges, which means to have proof of something. I rate this book a 9 out of 10, because i would of liked it if the author put more feeling into the book then just facts. However, i reccomend this book to everyone! Kim Kardashian is a very interesting person to learn about!
Sincerely,
Your Student,
Raheli Haliva.
Dear Raheli,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your readers journal! I really enjoyed reading it but I have some questions to ask:
-What other after reading strategy did you use?
-Why is the quote significant to the book?
-What was the pattern of organization?
-What is the authors perspective?
-Was there any figurative language? What was it?
I look forward to reading your response!
Love,
Ioana Barbu
Dear Raheli,
ReplyDeleteYour readers journal was great!
some questions i still have are the following:
-what pattern of organization did the author use to organize the text?
-Did you consider the book to be "just right" for you?
-in what way was the quote you chose significant to the book?
-what was the authors perspective?
-did you find any lines of figurative language in this book? if so, what were they?
Other than that your readers journal was really good! looking forward to your response!
Love,
Joelle Ben-Nissan
Dear Raheli,
ReplyDeleteYou did an awesome job! However, there are a few questions I'd like to ask you. One is, if the book is biography, isn't the author's purpose to inform? What made you say it was to entertain? Another is, you said that everyone has that same perspective on celebrities. Do you? Also, did you relate to Kim Kardashian in any way? Your reader's journal was great!
All My Love,
Rajeli :)
Dear Raheli,
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job ! <3
I have some questions:
- After reading this book what do you think about Kim?
- Whats the impact of the quote in the text?
- Did you like reading this book? If so, why?
- What was the pattern of organization?
Love,
Sharon Alfandary :)
Dear Raheli,
ReplyDeleteSome questions I have for you are:
-Are the characters dynamic/ round or flat/static?
-Why else did you choose that passage/
-What other reading strategies did you use?
-What other words did you learn while reading this book and what context clues did you use to find the meaning of the word?
I think that you used the fiction rubric for a nonfiction book.
Sincerely,
Brigitta Pakler
dear raheli
ReplyDeletei really liked it but i found a couple things wrong with the characterization first you didn't mention if the characters were protagonists antagonists or foil and then after that you didn't even mention if they were dynamic flat static or round
